Cool bedroom environment
Also known as: bedroom temperature, cool bedroom
Confidence pending0 studies referenced
Keeping the bedroom between 18-20°C (65-68°F) before and during sleep. Cooler air supports the core body temperature drop that triggers sleep onset and deep sleep.

How to do it
1Set the thermostat or AC to 18-20°C (65-68°F) in the hour before bed
2Use breathable bedding and lightweight pajamas
3Open a window or use a fan if temperature control isn't possible
4Take a warm shower 1-2 hours before bed (the rebound cooling deepens sleep)
5If your partner runs hotter, dual-zone bedding or a cooling pad evens it out
Safety notes
Adjust for personal comfort. Partners may need different temperatures.
