Cook whole wheat pasta according to package directions. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
Heat butter and olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Add minced garlic and chili flakes, cook 30 seconds until fragrant.
Add shrimp in a single layer. Cook 2 minutes per side until pink.
Squeeze in lemon juice and add a splash of pasta water. Toss to combine.
Add drained pasta to the skillet and toss with the sauce.
